This is The SB Workwear Sock. The only sock any tradesperson will need. This is not your average sock! They’re the most comfortable to wear in your work boots, they don’t fall down (for real) and, they provide plenty of cushioning. With a tried and true blend of materials, The SB Workwear Sock keeps your feet cool and dry in summer and warm in winter. Durable to the highest standard, you’ll need an angle grinder to put a hole in them.

About Us
Who are we?
Behind the SB Workwear sock is more than 70 years of sock knitting experience. Since then, we’ve kept our business on Australian soil and in the family for three generations. In that time, we’ve learnt a thing or two about what makes a great pair of socks. The time is right for us to take our extensive experience and to bring you our own creation, The SB Workwear Sock.
Every pair of SB Workwear socks passes through at least eleven pairs of hands before they leave our Melbourne based factory to get to you. Each of our staff work with pride, passion and care. We are extremely proud of our Ethical Clothing accreditation and our ongoing commitment to a truly Australian made product.

Are SB Workwear socks good for steel-capped boots?
The extra padding from the high merino wool content coupled with the durability of the nylon outer make the SB Workwear Sock perfect for steel-capped boots. The elastic leg creates a snug fit without feeling too tight, ensuring that they don’t fall below the top of your boots. This prevents the boot upper from from rubbing against your skin.
Will Merino Wool make my feet too hot in summer?
Not at all. Merino wool is a natural temperature regulator. It breathes in the heat and wicks moisture away from your skin rapidly, keeping your feet dry and cooler than many other natural and made-made fibres.
How do SB Workwear Socks prevent blisters?
Blisters are caused by friction and moisture. SB Workwear Socks have a snug, ergonomic fit that don’t bunch up inside your boots. They’re made of moisture wicking Merino Wool and, take advantage of seamless toe closures that eliminate flat edge rubbing.

We use state-of-the-art machines and carefully select high quality yarns to ensure we can knit to the highest standard only.
Sizing & Fit
How do I choose the right size?
SB Workwear sizing corresponds directly to your standard work boot/shoe size. We offer a broad sizing range to cover just about everyone. Sizes 2-8, 8-11, 11-14, 14-17. If you fall on the cusp of our sizes, we generally recommend sizing down if you prefer a compression-like fit.
Do SB Workwear Socks stay up all day without sliding down?
Yes. Our work socks feature high-density ribbed cuffs and arch-support bands designed to stay locked in place during active movement, ladder climbing, and bending.
Care & Longevity
How should I wash my SB Workwear Socks to make them last?
Just like you, our SB Workwear Socks are tough! You can machine wash them with cold or warm water with like colours. Use mild detergent, and avoid bleach and fabric softeners, as they degrade elastic fibres and coat moisture-wicking Merino Wool. Also, keep in mind that it is normal that some shrinkage can occur after the first few washes.
How should I dry my SB Workwear Socks?
This one’s easy! Air dry flat, away from direct sunlight and do not tumble dry.
How long should a pair of SB Workwear Socks last?
With the proper rotation and care, the SB Workwear Sock should last you for years. Of course, their lifespan will depend on the level of abrasiveness they’re exposed to and the general treatment they receive. So be kind and they’ll reward you in return.

We offer worldwide shipping which is zone dependent and calculated at checkout. Australia-wide shipping is available at $12.05 for regular post and can take up to 6 business days depending on location. Or, $15.55 for express post delivered in up to 3 business days depending on location. Orders over $100 value receive free standard shipping Australia-wide.
